District Court, Nassau County, currently has three civil parts with daily calendars, excluding the two calendars for landlord-tenant matters. They operate on staggered times. The judges of the district court adopted the staggered calendars to help attorneys with multiple appearances in different parts.
Here is the schedule:
Civil Part 1, Judge Scott Farigrieve/James Darcy, 10:00 AM. Cases in Landlord-tenant Part 2 are heard in the same courtroom, but called at 9:30 AM.
Civil Part 2, Judge Robert E. Pipia, 9:45 AM.
Civil Part 2, Judge Ignatius Muscarella, 9:30 AM.
The first calendar call in each part is called fairly promptly. I find that calendar call is never than a few minutes late. Second call is generally 45 minutes after first call.
The first call of Landlord-tenant Part 1 is called at 9:30 AM.
